“Haywire” is not a Bourne retread, nor is it a Jackie Chan tumble-fest.
This gritty, no holds barred thriller is as serious as the brain matter splattered throughout this film. We are invited into the film’s opening scene as Quentin Tarantino has done so successfully. Quickly, we find that we have, instead, been loaded into the scene like a shotgun shell – to suddenly find ourselves launched into the film.
