The Plot: Geneticist Will Rodman (James Franco) experiences a setback in his genetic study to repair and improve the brain. Frightening investors, Rodman’s study is shut down and all the chimps are ordered to be terminated. Rescuing one baby, he raises Caesar at his home while furthering his experiments. But after a violent mishap, Caesar is taken to an ape sanctuary run by sadistic keepers where his survival instinct is awakened and coupled with his advanced intelligence triggers the rise of the planet of the apes.
