The Plot:
A skilled group of African-American pilots while away World War II flying worthless sorties scores of miles behind the front lines.
Experiencing prejudice and pure hate, their commander colonel A. J. Bullard (Terrance Howard) fights for their right to defend their country.
When finally given the chance, they quickly distinguish themselves in combat and ultimately make their plane’s distinctive “red tails” a welcomed sight for allies and a feared one for enemies.
