Look, after six movies in the “Harry Potter” series you are either fully invested and are eager to see this thing through to the bitter end or you stopped caring so long ago that the only Harry Potter you know is the bearded dude down the street with the kiln.
But what is undeniable, devoted fan or no, is the massive cultural impact these films have had on an entire generation of moviegoers.

“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part I” – Lynn Venhaus (Belleville News-Democrat)
Dark times, indeed. An ominous and foreboding atmosphere permeates “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part I,” the first half of the final installment.
Because this film’s purpose is to set up the grand finale Battle of Hogwarts, ending the series next July, we don’t get the satisfaction of a climax, only the characters getting closer to the conclusion. So, as the seventh Potter film, Part I can’t stand very well on its own. Nevertheless, it does ramp up the tension and show us a different side to our coming-of-age wizards.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, is the first part to a two part finale to the successful Harry Potter franchise. Once again Voldemort is terrorizing the wizarding world, but this time he finally gains what he is seeking – absolute control.
Voldemort quickly gains control of the Ministry of Magic, and makes life hard for our protagonist Harry and his friends Ron and Hermione.
