Contagion-Reelworld (Kent Tentschert/Carol Hemphill) THE PLOT: When Mitch Emhoff’s (Matt Damon) wife, Beth (Gwyneth Paltrow) arrives home from overseas, she and their son suddenly fall ill and die. Cases of this mysterious virus bloom across the globe. Within a few weeks, an epidemic has spread. Bloggers begin touting rumors as truth, while the truth is kept quiet. Dr. Ellis Cheever (Laurence Fishburne) of the CDC coordinates a concerted effort to treat and quarantine the sick. A vaccine is the only answer, but that is buried deeply within bureaucratic red tape. Schools close, businesses close, borders close as the body count mounts. But within the turmoil of death, humanity still struggles...
