Act of Valor - Reelworld (Kent Tentschert/Carol Hemphill) KENT’S Take: Every once in a while I am surprised by a film. “The Artist” surprised me with its unique perspective using contemporary themes in a dated medium. “Act of Valor” surprised me with its rousing themes and quality production. But what surprises me the most is the quality of the amateur acting. There are no Academy Award calibre performances here, however, these men do a good job conveying the love for their families, fellow soldiers and their country in their undeterred sense of duty to protect you and me.
