The Samurai era is waning with many Samurai being no more than undisciplined swords for hire. When Sir Doi (Mikijiro Hira) summons Samurai Shinzaemon (Shinzaemon Shimada), he reveals a dire dilemma. The Shogun’s sadistic brother, Lord Naritsugu (Goro Inagaki) threatens peace with his barbarous whims, maiming and mutilating at will.
